"Hang in there Coop,"Catherine breathed quietly. She'd heard her partner's code word slip and that was the only thing she needed. Truthfully, she'd known things were going south and that had been pushing it to areas she hadn't quite cared to stand by and watch. "We just need to find where the basement is and that's where they took Danny, got it?" That was a question for her team that she was with. She wanted Danny found sooner rather than later. She knew what would happen if they didn't find him in time.

"C'mon then." the female Agent said to Nicole and led her down the block to the place the observation van was. But as they got closer, the agent noticed that things were already about to get busy. She could see Catherine getting the team ready to head inside and find Danny. "No matter what, you have to stay here."

Outside the group of agents looked at Catherine, just as determined to find that basement and those criminals as she was. They nodded in reply to their question. "Shouldn't be too hard." one of them said.

Inside, Danny managed once to get free from their grasp and moved away, just as fast and as far as he could, his breathing fast. He knew he couldn't do this much longer, but he had to fight for his life. That gave him some extra strength. He just hoped that Catherine and their team would find the basement in time.

Of course the two guys were quick to grab him again and as much Danny fought back, they eventually got him down again. But it would be the last time they got the chance to do so.

Nicole nodded a bit, then followed the agent, hoping Danny's coworkers were looking for him as well. Hang on Danny, we're coming she said to herself while following the agent. Nicole didn't even want to think of what could happen to him, not knowing of what was going on inside the building they were heading to. She didn't know that Danny was fighting his way out of the situation that he was in.

Catherine frowned for only a moment, about ready to say that they shouldn't underestimate these suspects. "Just have your guns ready if we need to use them. I don't need to lose agents to these guys when it's something we could've prevented,"she finally said, motioning for the team to come with her and start the search. "Everyone remembers the talk. Stay safe and we find Coop and get the hell out of there as fast as possible. I'm sure I don't need to explain what will happen if we don't."

Meanwhile the female Agent with Nicole led her to the van and stayed outside. "Seems like he's said the word. We'll stay here and let them do their jobs." she said to Nicole. "Agent Cooper will be fine."

While the two henchmen were holding Danny down, he began to feel a little dizzy, due to the lack of oxygen. He didn't fight back as hard as he had before, because he simply lost the energy to do so, but he didn't give up. He'd fight until his last breath if he had to.
Where the hell are you, Cath... get me the hell outta this... he thought to himself, as he pushed up one last time, gasping for air as they couldn't hold him down.

With a quick, unpretentable move, he grabbed the gun one of the guys was wearing in the waist band of his jeans and aimed it at him. "Get... away from... me." he said in a dangrously deep tone, between his gasps.

Catherine led the team inside, her gaze sweeping every centimeter she could see, ignoring whatever shouts of protest of them barging in that there might've been. She had one focus: find Coop. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she lost him in this. He was more than a partner, he was a friend. A good one at that. She tried to remember everything that they'd heard from Coop on the matters of this place, leading the team through the area quickly, gun drawn. She wasn't going to take chances.

On his was down, Danny had dropped a silver bracelet he wore undercover. It was part of his character. He had told them where inside they were going to meet, had made sure that they found the door they used to get to the basement by dropping the bracelet along the way.
Now, trapped in a tricky situation, with a gun drawn on one of the gangsters, he was hoping that they would find him on time.

"Playing hero now, are we?" the boss taunted a clearly exhausted Danny. "Grab him. He's not gonna shoot anyone."
But that was a very wrong assumption.

Cath halted quickly when she spotted the bracelet and motioned her team over as she scooped up the bracelet carefully in her fingers. She looked back at the agents with her and gave them a silent nod. This was the door to where they had Danny. She carefully opened the door, just enough that she could get a look down. Good God, Danny, I hope you've got some kind of way to be ready for this,she thought as she pushed the door open wide enough for her to step through, leading the agents with her.

If they had a gun on him, she would have to find a way to get him out of there... And if Danny was somehow already fighting his way out of this, which she would bet on if she was that kind of person, the least they could do was fight right beside him. She'd do it any day, every day if she had to.

Not knowing that Catherine was almost there, just at the door to the stairs that lead to the basement, Danny glared at the guys, as they moved in on him, following their bosses order. He kept his gun aimed at both of them. He could take them both out, before anyone could react, but he knew that the boss himself probably had a gun on him, too and he would be the one reacting and probably shooting him, if he didn't have a backup plan.
C'mon Cath... what's takin' you so long? he thought, watching the two men get closer. His breathing was still fast and kind of labored. He was soaking wet and began to freeze a little, as he stood in the basin filled with cool water.

"Don't underestimate me." he said in a threating tone, ready to shoot.

"They never should underestimate our agents,"Catherine said as she carefully stepped forward with a few other agents flanking her, all of their guns drawn. "Easy way is to let him come with us and no one gets shot. Hard way is someone gets shot and we take all of you in to custody on the spot. Your choice."

Danny hadn't noticed that his partner had already arrived. He glanced at her, thankful that she was finally there.
The gangster boss hadn't heard them either, but he didn't really show any emotions, or any sign that he cared on his face. His two henchmen turned around, almost staring at Catherine and her agents, not brave enough to say anything.

He kept his eyes on the boss, who had his hands in his pockets, staring at Daniel with an angry glare. But Danny didn't care. He sensed that the boss was up to something, he didn't know what, yet.
A second later he pulled his hands out, took a quick step and pulled his gun on Danny.
"No." he said. "I don't think so, blondie."

Wrong words, pal... wrong words. Danny said, glancing at his partner and then back at the man with the gun. "Seriously? With a room full of agents?" Daniel said, sounding a little annoyed. This guy was dumber than he thought.

"You shoot him and I'll make sure you either spend the rest of your life in solitary or your buried deeper than six feet under the ground,"Catherine said, managing to keep the growl out of her voice. She didn't appreciate being called 'blondie', but she didn't like this guy threatening her partner's life in front of her like this either. "I honestly don't want anyone to get shot here, but if you push me to it, I'll make sure you're first face-down on the floor. And don't make the mistake of thinking I'm a bad shot because I'm a blonde girl." Ok, maybe she shouldn't have gone so far, but she was ticked off, what was she supposed to do?

The gangster boss turned around and glanced at her, his gun still on Danny. He had a taunting look on his face. Daniel noticed it earlier and he figured this guy was being shot than going to jail. However, Danny had no choice, but stay fixed where he was until the three men were taken down.
"Well, too bad Agent..." the ganger boss taunted Catherine. At the same time he turned around to Danny and pulled the trigger.

Catherine had first just watched, but she'd reacted when the gangster boss turned to shoot at Danny, pulling the trigger on her own gun, her eyes already wide. She had to bite back yelling Coop's name out when her gaze shifted to make sure her partner was alright. Whether they'd found out he was an agent or not, she didn't want to put the risk level higher than it already was.

Danny wasn't as fast to react, he wasn't at his best in that moment, but he managed to get down in time for the bullet to just graze him on his shoulder. He got on his knees, back into the cold water, dropping the gun he got from one of the henchmen. He didn't even notice the pain in his shoulder, as he watched Catherine's bullet hit it's target, just like it always would with a target like that.

He could hear the ganger boss' cry of pain and watched him go down. It all happened so fast that it was a blurr for him.

Cath let the other agents with her make sure the gangster boss staid where he was along with his little henchmen as she raced over to her partner. "C'mon,"she muttered quickly, getting him back on his feet. "The faster you're out of here, the better for all of us."

"No argument there." Danny said, already on his way back to his feet. One of the male agents handed him his jacket, which Danny thankfully took from him, since he was already freezing. It was then, that he noticed the pain on his right shoulder and reached for it. He could feel a small amount of blood on his fingers and cursed under his breath. "Dammit."

Thankfully it didn't hurt too much, but it was a burning pain of a graze, similar to when Oscar scratched him with his claws, just a little worse than that. He'd live, but he knew at least two people would be worried.

Nicole nodded when the female agent said that to her. She then collapsed on to the ground and started to cry. The tears fell across her cheeks like a running faucet. It was clear that she was overwhelmed by what had taken place and at the fact that she nearly lost Danny. As she sat there crying, Nicole felt a hand gently touch her shoulder. She jumped a bit, then looked up, seeing a man standing there, a comforting look in his eyes. Nicole looked at him, clearly puzzled as to who he was. "Who are you?" she said between sobs, the puzzlement clear in her voice.

"We need to get that checked, and I don't want to hear anything about how it isn't serious,"Catherine told her partner, worried about him. "We can do that as soon as we're out of here,"she said, almost like she was reminding herself what situation they were in and biting at her lip as she exchanged a few words with one of the agents before holstering her gun and starting back up the stairs, looking over her shoulder to make sure Coop was coming with her or was at least with some of the other agents.

Looking at his partner, Daniel knew better than to argue with her. Besides, she was right. That graze wound needed to be checked. He wasn't taking the risk of catching an infection and that was very likely, given the surroundings they were in.
But, as he climbed out of the basin, Danny stopped, sitting down on the edge for a moment, his hands both resting beside him, holding onto the edge.
"Alright..." he said quietly, still a little out of breath. "Just... give me a minute."

Danny didn't feel up to walking back up the stairs just yet. He could feel his hands shaking a little and his knees felt a little weak right now. He just needed a moment to catch his breath and get his strength back together.

Nicole watched the man, then slowly stood up. He was soon gone, but Nicole just stood there, taking in what had just happened. She didn't see Danny or hear the other agents talking to each to other. It was clear that she was stunned by what had happened and that she was trying to make sense of it all.

Cath nodded and returned to her partner's side, looking concerned. "Take your time,"she said quietly, "I don't need you any worse than you already are." She looked around, feeling on the protective. It was clear to her that Coop needed a moment or two, and that was fine with her and she understood. She just didn't want anyone near him that planned to hurt him.

Danny gave a small nod to his partner, taking a few deep breaths just to get his breathing to slow down again. He was feeling a little bit better, but the wet clothes on his skin made him feel cold.
"You let me drop by my place and change first?" he asked quietly, knowing Catherine would want him to get that graze checked immediately. But he wasn't going to walk around in his wet clothes longer than he needed to.

He did have a set of clothes at the bureau, but he much rather changed in the privacy of his home than at work.

Nicole was still trying to make sense of the man that she had seen. Pushing that out of her head at the moment, she looked over to the female agent that was with her. "I need to see him" she said to her in a somewhat firm tone. Nicole wanted to know that he was alright. "Ma'am, it wouldn't be right for.... the agent started to say. I NEED TO SEE HIM Nicole shouted as loud as she could.

Catherine nodded, mentally stopping herself from saying he needed to get the graze looked at first. It wasn't helping him to be cold and she would be concerned either way. "Of course,"she said gently, surprising herself. This was Coop... why was she acting like he was someone she needed to treat with a bit of restrain? She shook it off. "As long as you have your shoulder looked at right after,"she added her negotiation just to make herself feel a bit more confident that she knew her partner would be ok. She still didn't like what she'd walked in to. If there was a way she could've prevented it, she was wishing she could've seen it and taken it.
