Personality: Steve is loyal, hardworking, passionate, tough, strong willed and quick thinking, traits that helped him excel at West Point and in special forces. At the same time, he is also stubborn, slow to change his mind once its made up, afraid to admit when he has failed and is withdrawn at times. Steve, though outgoing, tends to keep to himself when not on the job, preferring to stay at home when not on patrol.

History: Born to college professor parents, Steve always had his nose in a book from the time he was four. When he was in middle school, he started to read about the Army and became fascinated with them. After learning that his grandfather and uncle had served in the Army, Steve followed in their footsteps, getting a commission to West Point after graduating from high school. While at West Point, Steve majored in Behavioral Science: Psychology. At the same time, he became fluent in Spanish and Russian, two languages that would serve him well both in and out of the army. After graduating, Steve went into the infantry, then into special forces, were he would serve as a weapons expert. While in special forces, Steve took extra course work and earned a second degree in Foreign Area Studies, focusing on Latin American, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. After seeing combat and doing other work over seas while in the army, Steve was discharged and moved back to Las Vegas. He quickly signed up for the police department and entered training with in two months of moving back. Steve graduated at the top of his class from both the academy and from field training. Now riding solo, Steve works out of the downtown station, a place that he finds both challenging and rewording at the same time.
