Alex checked the time on his watch and covered a frown at the time. "I wish I could talk a little more, but I should really get going, shift at the lab starts in a few hours so I best head home. See you around maybe?"

Alex returned the smile before he laid down a 20 to pay for both their drinks and gathered his phone, keys, and guitar before he headed out to his Tahoe and the drive back to his place.

The drive home left Alex with time to think over what he'd just got himself in to. He found himself smiling. "You're an idiot,"he muttered, still smiling. He hadn't felt the way he had back there in a good long while.

Alex parked his Tahoe along the road in its usual spot and headed in to his place, setting down his keys down near the door, but taking his phone and guitar to his room. He laid his phone on the nightstand before he put his guitar away. He'd always left his phone on during the nights and by his bed in case he got a call from Brass to get to work during the night before shift started.

Maddie went back home, she couldn't stop thinking about him, she felt a stong connection between them, she knew there was.

Alex had too much on his mind to go to bed as soon as he got home, so he staid up with a water and the tv remote in hand. He had Maddie on his mind, he couldn't shake the feeling that the meeting in the bar meant more than it seemed on the surface and that it wouldn't be the last time he saw Maddie.

Alex wasn't sure when he'd see Maddie again, but he had a gut feeling that they'd see each other again sometime in the future. When? He wasn't sure.

A few months had passed since they first met, as there was drama play going on named " Mamma Mia", Alex decided to see it, while unaware that he'd get a shock, Maddie would in the play.

Alex had heard about the play and he'd also had the day off. So he'd headed out to see it, unaware that he'd see Maddie in the play.

Alex hadn't expected to see Maddie in the play, but he had to admit he was a little shocked when he saw her. He hadn't expected to see her there, that's why he was shocked. After a moment though, he let a small smile appear on his face. He figured they'd run in to each other sooner rather than later.
